Alcoholic Drinks

An alcoholic beverage is a drink containing ethanol, commonly known as alcohol. Alcoholic beverages are divided into three general classes: beers, wines, and spirits.

BEER

Beer is the oldest and most widely consumed alcoholic drink in the world, Beer is brewed from cereal grains, most commonly from malted barley, though wheat, maize (corn), and rice are also used. The strength of modern beer is usually around 4% to 6% alcohol by volume, although it may vary between 0.5% and 20%. there are low levels of carbohydrates in beer, but only trace amounts of simple sugars, including maltose, in beer.the beer has more nutrients, often more calories, B vitamins.

WINE

Wine is an alcoholic beverage made from grapes, Wine has been produced for thousands of years. Yeast consumes the sugar in the grapes and converts it to ethanol and carbon dioxide. Different varieties of grapes and strains of yeasts produce different styles of wine.
The red-wine production process involves extraction of color and flavor components from the grape skin. Red wine is made from dark-colored grape varieties. White wine can be straw-yellow, yellow-green. Fermentation of the non-colored grape pulp produces white wine. The grapes from which white wine is produced are typically green or yellow.
“Moderate” wine consumption is said to be good for the health. Reducing risk of depression, Preventing colon cancer, Anti-aging, Preventing breast cancer.

CIDER

Cider is an alcoholic beverage made from the fermented juice of apples. The addition of sugar or extra fruit before a second fermentation increases the alcoholic content of the resulting beverage. The flavour of cider varies. Ciders can be classified from dry to sweet.High in acetic acid, it consisting of High in acetic acid, which has potent biological effects, Lowers blood sugar levels and fights diabetes, Lowers cholesterol and reduces the risk of heart disease.

HARD ALCOHOLS

A distilled drink, spirit, or liquor is an alcoholic drink containing ethanol that is produced by distillation of ethanol produced by means of fermenting grain, Vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, brandy are examples of distilled drinks. moderate amounts of alcohol raise levels of high-density lipoprotein, HDL, or ‘good’ cholesterol and higher HDL levels are associated with greater protection against heart disease.  Drinking two units of alcohol per day can reduce the risk of gallstones, Heavy drinking effects on the liver.
